Khanom is a small slice of heaven which is still yet to be discovered by most foreign tourists. This unspoiled tropical paradise has over 12 km of pristine tranquil beaches, which stretch out alongside the northern mountains of the Nakorn si Thammarat province. Although tourism is significant in Khanom, most visitors are Thai and foreigners are rare.
Khanom is well known for its white sandy beaches and its picturesque coconut trees, which overlook Emeraid waters that gently lap the shoreline. The area is the breeding ground for the very rare pink dolphin, which is called "Sousa Chinensis" by the locals. Visitors to Khanom have the rare opportunity to see this protected species.
Magnificent beaches are not Khanom's sole attraction; its simplicity makes it absolutely charming and peaceful. This sleepy little village has not been inundated with huge condos or mega-malls. You won't find any go-go bars or discos, no touts or hawkers or suit making shops. Instead, you will find warm friendly locals that smile and wave as you ride your bicycle around town. There are also two extraordinary caves and five breathtaking waterfalls, which border the northern end of the Khao Luang National Park. The park itself is a great destination.

Khanom is also the home of a unique "sea golf". Yes... sea golf. Between April and July, the locals take advantage of the smooth sandy bottom of the bay during the low tides. They created a temporary golf course, which even hosts its own toumaments! And yet, there is so much more to discover in this tropical paradise! If you enjoy outdoor activities there are two breath-kaking caves and five amazing waterfalls, which go along the northern end of the Khao Luang National Park.

And on the subject of golf, Khanom features some of the areas finest golf courses, all within a short distance drive from the town.
Indeed, there are a plethora of things to do and see in this tropical paradise, which are just waiting to be discovered.
